Benefits of using dried sage

Antioxidant properties Sage is rich in antioxidants like flavonoids, which help neutralise harmful free radicals in the body, supporting overall health.

Anti-inflammatory Sage contains compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, which may help reduce inflammation and swelling.

Digestive aid Sage has been traditionally used to support digestion, reduce bloating, and soothe digestive discomfort.

Immune Support The antimicrobial properties of sage can help boost the immune system, making it effective for treating colds, coughs, and sore throats.

How to Use Dried Sage

As a seasoning Use dried sage in savoury dishes like roasted veggies, meats, soups, stews, and stuffing. Its earthy, slightly peppery flavour pairs well with ALL the vegetables, poultry, lamb, and pork.

As a tea Brew dried sage leaves into tea by steeping 1 teaspoon of dried sage in hot water for 5-10 minutes (we recommend using a reusable tea bag). It can be sweetened with honey or lemon for added flavour.

As a herbal bath Add dried sage to your bathwater to benefit from its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

As a skin toner Make a sage-infused toner by steeping dried sage in hot water, letting it cool, and using the liquid to cleanse your face.

As hair care: Sage can be used to create a natural rinse that may help reduce dandruff, and promote scalp health.
