Polenta | Organic

Plastic free, refillable polenta available in a variety of different weights. Polenta is a ground form of dried maize. A common staple food in many countries, this organic polenta is ground to medium consistency (not as fine as wheat flour). Ethically sourced by Suma Wholefoods, Europe's largest worker's co-operative.

Polenta is naturally low in fat and calories, sodium-free, and a good source of fibre and protein. It is also a great way to incorporate other vital nutrients, such as iron, magnesium, vitamin A, and B Vitamins, into your diet.

Instructions The cooking ratio is 1 part polenta to 4 parts water and a pinch of salt. Cook until soft; whisk occasionally. Polenta can be cooked to be creamy and dense or allowed to set and then sliced. Serve it with just butter and cheese or topped with sauce or a stew.

Storage instructions We are a refill store. Your product(s) will be sent in paper bags. We recommend transferring to an airtight jar or container. Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.
