Coconut bowls are a wonderful waste product, and no two are ever the same.
Famously used for “Buddha bowls”, they're ideal for salads, breakfast cereals, serving bowls. We don’t recommend using for really hot food. The coconut shells that are used to make the bowls are sourced from juice bars across Hanoi.

The bowls are produced in a small factory in Hanoi, Vietnam. The founder employs a lot of women and pays all his staff a good wage. When our supplier asked why he isn’t fair trade or the equivalent, he cited that in order for his bowls to be certified, the entire supply chain would need to follow suite. And as he forages his bowls from across the city, it isn’t possible to become fair trade.

The bowls are approximately 12 cm in diameter. As these are a natural product they can be slightly wider than 12cm. Bowls will need to be regularly treated with any oil of your choice to prevent it from drying or cracking. Bowls are shipped by sea from Vietnam.
