Their beautiful organic shape was expertly crafted from recycled glass and the warm amber tones of the smoky glass look even more magical when combined with the glow of candlelight. Their distinctive look is completed by a distressed metallic finish, which makes the tealight look as if it’s been dipped in liquid gold. H-crafted by artisans in India.

Caring for your product

To care for your new Nkuku item, we recommend washing with a mild dish soap and warm water to remove any excess wax after every use to prevent a build up. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the finish. For indoor use only. Please position a tealight securely and ensure the flame is not directed at the glass. This product will get hot in use. Keep out of reach of children. Wait until fully cooled before handling. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

A note from Nkuku about traditional glass making 
Visiting Nkuku's glass supplier is in many ways like stepping back in time. Artisans use traditional glass blowing techniques, blowing air into molten glass to create striking organic shapes and designs. Most of our glass, from glassware and serve ware, to lighting and Christmas decorations, is made from recycled glass. The recycling process starts with the collection of waste glass. The different colours of glass are sorted into piles, washed to remove any impurities, and finally crushed and melted down. The molten glass forms the base to create new products, either handblown or placed in bespoke moulds to create beautiful new products.
